MSR Reactor Stove - stopped letting gas out

MSR Reactor Stove - stopped letting gas out

Apr 16, 2019 If you want much of the wind resistance of the MSR Reactor, get a $39 HX pot and the BRS-3000T burner will fit up inside the HX fins and shroud and be much better in the wind, more fuel efficient, and faster to boil a pint of water. $17+$39 = $58 which is $180 cheaper (and lighter) than the $239.95 MSR Reactor “System”. That’s my most ...

MSR Windboiler? not a Windburner - Backpacking Light

Aug 30, 2018 The Reactor/Windburner is designed to be purely a water boiler (or snow melter). If you try to turn the flame way down, it will still put out too much heat for simmering, and it will create a LOT of CO emissions. Basically it should be used with a full-on flame setting, where the CO is still a bit high, but more manageable and safe than when ...

MSR windburner vs jetboil - Rokslide Forum

Jun 17, 2018 MSR has been making stoves for a long time and the Windburner and/or the Reactor stoves are trouble free. I switched to the Windburner and love how efficient it is. Forget the piezo electric starter on the JEtboil, they seem to eventually fail also. Attached is my own photo. Oh, and yes, they sent me a new one again plus a 20% discount.

Windburner vs. Jetboil? - Mountain Project

Mar 05, 2020 The Reactor is slightly more powerful than the Windburner, but doesn't simmer as well. Great for melting snow, a little pointless for cooking dinner for one person. The Reactor has a bigger pot than the Windburner (1.7 liter vs 1 liter), which again is great for melting snow but a little silly for one person cooking dinner.

Mar 11, 2019 Don’t have the MSR Windburner, but my bud’s MSR Reactor is our go-to 3-season mountaineering stove, way better than my old Jet Boil. There is a lot to be said for not worrying about wind screens if you are cooking out in the open. Very expensive, but worth it. …

May 31, 2018 We tested both these systems in a range of different conditions and recorded the boil times as we cooked. Below are the average boil times we found when using each system in the same conditions. Jetboil MiniMo - 1:53 minutes to boil 1/2 L of water. MSR WindBurner - 2:05 minutes to boil 1/2 L of water. WINNER: Jetboil MiniMo.

Jetboil vs MSR: Comparing the Flash and Pocket Rocket 2

Sep 28, 2021 The MSR Windburner is an all-in-one stove with an integrated pot and a powerful burner for boiling. Unlike the Flash, the Windburner has better wind protection and a regulator for cold temperatures. It takes about twice as long to boil water as the Jetboil Flash, but that’s partly because the Windburner has a larger capacity. Check Amazon Price
